Senior Python Engineer

Location: London

We are seeking a Senior Python Engineer to join our organisation and lead in the development, maintenance and optimisation of our existing clinical service architecture. The role will include a hands-on software engineering role, working closely with the operations and research & development teams to make the delivery of AI insights to radiologists fast, safe and reliable.

The individual should have experience building mission critical services and be capable of driving the development of a core business area with autonomy.


  • Lead in maintaining, growing, and optimising’s core service architecture enabling us to reliably integrate and serve hospital sites
  • Design the architecture upgrades to support the business growth and delivery across the world with best practice and design
  • Take part in the creation of software documentation and records to support regulatory submissions and market approvals/clearances
  • Maintain code and data integrity across the organisation using effective development controls
  • Availability for ad-hoc 3rd line support for the organisation as it seeks to build its products further and grow



  • Expert level Python software development experience building reliable, client-facing services
  • Experience building mission-critical systems in data driven environments
  • Experienced in modern code testing best practices, with a focus on improving code quality
  • Ability to select tools and implement processes that enable to scale rapidly
  • Familiar with Postgres and/or Mongo database solutions
  • Knowledge of Docker
  • A keen interest in the potential of AI to revolutionise healthcare


  • Experience working with message brokering systems such as RabbitMQ
  • Frontend Experience with ReactJS
  • Experience working collaboratively with data science or machine learning teams
  • Experience working with medical data processing systems
  • Experience with modern cloud services (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Implementation of safe and robust rolling software development and deployments that comply with regulatory requirements for UK (UKCA) , EU (MDR) and USA (FDA)
